So this has been nagging me ever so slightly ever since I created my first list, but in any list stats, it shows “0 of x observed”, even when I’ve posted multiple observations of a taxon included in the list. How do I change that, or am I misunderstanding what the statistic is referring to?

i think that feature has been intentionally shut down in most cases. see: [https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/personal-list-not-updating-with-my-observations/23474/9](https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/personal-list-not-updating-with-my-observations/23474/9).

you still can get a count of how many species you’ve observed based on a list of taxa. for example, if you have a list [https://www.inaturalist.org/lists/4573582-Cool-Critters](https://www.inaturalist.org/lists/4573582-Cool-Critters), then you can get a count of “species” (really, “leaf taxa”) from [https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?list\_id=4573582&user\_id=quercivory&verifiable=any&place=any&view=species](https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?list_id=4573582&user_id=quercivory&verifiable=any&place=any&view=species). if not all the taxa in your list are a species, this might help find non-leaf taxa, although you’ll have do do your own counting: [https://jumear.github.io/stirfry/iNat\_observations\_taxonomy?user\_id=quercivory&list\_id=4573582](https://jumear.github.io/stirfry/iNat_observations_taxonomy?user_id=quercivory&list_id=4573582)
