Description of problem:

When I want to use the openstreetmap view in Firefox, all the tiles read “Access blocked”. Using openstreetmap works fine on my Android phone app and in my Chromium browser. I had this happen at certain locations and at certain zoom levels. But now this seems to happen at any zoom level and any location (Europe and a zoomed-in region in Colombia in the above examples)

Step 1: Open any observation or go to “my observations”

Step 2: Select “openstreetmap” as map

Works fine in Firefox for me. Can you please try turning off any extensions you’re using in Firefox?

see https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Blocked_tiles, and look for references to Firefox.

Yeah, I think by blocking certain cookies (or some other stuff) this has broken. Running vanilla firefox it works fine. I also looked at this:

Seems like OSM has changed their policy this year and is enforcing stricter rules to block bots. Thanks for your response! Should I keep this post up or delete it?

Please keep it, someone else may encounter the same issue. I’m glad you got it to work now.
