Is there any way to add the basic iNat filters to an umbrella project? Specifically, I was interested in the dates. But there seems to be no way to edit the date range in an umbrella project, without editing the dates of each individual project within. I know I could go the observation data for the umbrella project, and then filter, but I would like to see the data as it relates to each individual project within (as you see on the main page of the umbrella project), not just the overall observation data (if that makes any sense).
No, umbrella projects simply gather up sub-projects and display them together on a single page, all other settings need to be done on a sub-project basis.

If there are no plans/desire by the team to add any filters to umbrella projects, maybe this should be closed?
