# Adding a New Place

Hi,  
I see there is a 50 verifiable observation minimum to add a new place. From my understanding of verifiable observations, I’m there but do not see the option to add a new place on the places page as referenced here: [https://www.inaturalist.org/pages/getting+started#places](https://www.inaturalist.org/pages/getting+started#places)

It looks like you just recently met this threshold, so this may apply:
