To make things simpler, maybe we could set a lower number of taxa, but they should all be observed in the area hosting the CNC. That way, the focus stays on the region that leaders are responsible for, since one of their roles is to audit local observations. Observations from other parts of the world, even if impressive, don’t apply to their CNC area. Sorry if you already assumed this much!

Have you attended any City Nature Challenge organizer meetings? They go over use of iNaturalist, projects, common issues with contributions, language examples for mitigating issues, best practices, etc.
