Step 2: It says that it is synching one observation
Step 3: Then it says iNat isn’t responding. If I click wait, then I just get the same message.
I’m guessing there’s one observation that is somehow giving the app a problem. Is there a way to fix it? Or I would also be willing to test out the new Android app. I do 99% of my iNatting via the website, but would love to also have something functional on my phone :)
what device are you using? We record crashes based on device.
depending on how fast the crash happens, you might be able to re-open the app, go to Settings, and turn off auto upload to prevent the crash from happening over and over.
if possible, can re-open the app after a crash and send us log files from it? To send log files, go to the About tab in the iNaturalist app and tap three times on the version number. You will then have the option to email the log files to us.
I’ve been having the problem for a few weeks, so that last observation in the screen shot is not the problem one.
I’ve uploaded a lot of observations since then, and it still says “sync 1 observation”. When I click “Upload” it says “syncing” then “preparing” and then I get the “iNaturalist isn’t responding” message.
On the other hand, I’ve downloaded iNat Next to beta test and I like it so far!
I’m fine considering this resolved since it is not an issue w iNat Next unless you want to keep trying to troubleshoot. I appreciate your time!
