Is it possible to batch edit uploaded records to add the locations? I have been snorkelling and have around 400 records which automatically synced before I had added their locations. I can’t find a way to do this retrospectively. Any ideas?
Libby
yes, you can batch edit records in your browser (not on the app), go to the ‘Edit Observations’ tab on your dashboard, and there’s a batch edit function. You can do up to 200 obs at a time
Thanks for this swift response. This still doesn’t allow me to add the location, I have tried it a number of times.
Click on “Batch Operations” top open up batch options, like adding a location.
Once you’ve picked a point and edited the accuracy circle, click outside the map to close it. Then click on the blue “Apply” button under the location to apply it to all the observations.
Hi Tony, Thomas, I am still not able to batch add the locations. I thought I might be putting the locations in in the wrong format, so I edited it , but it is still giving me an error message. Any other ideas please?
hey Libby, I emailed you a video a few days ago, showing me going through the steps of batch editing. Did you follow those steps in the video?
Dear Tony, Thomas,
I have finally managed to batch edit and add the locations for my snorkels around Flores. It was almost impossible to do it by putting the placeholder in the map as many of the 9 different locations were near tiny unnamed islands. I had to use the locations provided by the boat so part of my problem was adding them in the right format. Never mind, they are all located now and I much appreciate all your help. I have attached the trip map and the locations I was given FYI.
Many thanks, Libby
