What happened next?
Honestly, I didn’t see much more besides the ant trying and failing to get a grip a couple of times. I was only there for a couple more seconds before continuing with my hike.
Some people’s pets, I tell ya…
I like this photo and I think I have two in this topic now that show sometimes going out in less than ideal weather conditions can net you some decent photographs. For birders a bit of snow on the ground can be a good thing as the birds come up off the ground and can be easier to spot than in dry conditions. Cherry Creek State Park, Colorado 4-2018
This is one of my favourites. A little leaf beetle riding a Brentid weevil, Ithystenus hollandiae.
Amazing!!!
Fabulous photo! Also perfect for this thread:

and:
It really says something when this is “one of“ your favorites, and not the absolute KING of all your photos, featured on every profile picture you have (which is what I would do if I took this shot).
Amazing!
Beautiful~
Oh cool. Thanks for letting me know.
Thanks. It was a happy day. I love finding new unusual species but these chance interactions are rare and wonderful to capture

These are my favorite shots of yesterday. I hadn’t taken a photo of a gull like that before.
Which one do you think is better?
Colour in my opinion.
I agree, I like the contrast on the beak!
Gorgeous, they’re such cool looking little buddies and this is a great shot
Probably one of my most favorite photos would be this one of a Shoebill in Mabamba swamp in Uganda, especially because getting it started out as what could probably also count for one of the other topics in this forum “what was your most frustrating experience”. ![]()
