That’s awesome!
If anyone hasn’t seen it yet I strongly recommend the movie Listers: A Glimpse into Extreme Birdwatching. Extremely entertaining documentary that made me rethink my relationship with iNaturalist and eBird. Free on youtube without ads. Contains mature content.
There’s a GWFG about 45 minutes from my home; hopefully I’ll get the chance to see it.
Thanks, that would be great!
I am not a bander, but I have banded a few birds. I’ve also helped set the mist nets up, which is also neat!
This is where I cannot participate! I am in Spring, and we have had crazy weather, I have not seen a great deal of birds anyway. On Saturday we had a very big storm, so no birds were out, but I was enjoying getting soaked!
Same for me, though I do live 2-3 hours away from ranganatithu bird sanctuary which does actually have a fall (or winter here lol) migration.
Happy 1st of November!! What was everyone’s first November bird of the month? Mine was a White-throated Sparrow.
No birds yet… winds too high.
No birds yet… rains too much.
Horned Lark flyover!
Earlier I saw a random bluebird for a few seconds
Southern hemisphere
What mature content? Birds killing eachother and competiton or something even though it’s nature?
I saw some little bird this morning but wasn’t close enough to tell what it was. Maybe a chickadee or a redpoll. It was accompanied by a few nuthatches though.
Did you watch it, lol? If you do, you’ll understand.
A female three-toed woodpecker! Very rare for this region of Quebec. It’s the first time I’ve seen one in the 13 years I’ve been here.
American Robins in a fruiting dogwood tree.
coarse language, drug use, that sort of thing. it’s not a very typical nature documentary
No I didn’t watch it
