Cactus photos for Wikipedia

When searching for these photos on iNat, don’t forget to allow your search for casual grade observations. There’s probably thousands of CC-BY photos of potted cacti

Let me know if any of my photos would be of use. Happy to help. I have photos of many cacti of the Mojave and Great Basin deserts, and western North America in general.

Hi, thanks a million for the offer. It would be great if you could change the license on all your photos so Wikipedia could access them (whether it’s me with the cacti or someone else with other species). I explain how to do it above. Any of these three options would work:

Public Domain CC0 ”, “Attribution CC-BY ”, or “Attribution-ShareAlike BY-SA "

And very importantly, you must check the " “Change licenses for all existing photos ”." box so that it applies to all older photos as well. Thanks a million for your help, support, and collaboration.

And as I said, all your photos would have your authorship and a link to your iNaturalist profile.

Perfect, I’ll make the change. If you ever need input regarding which photos give the best detail for a species based on their descriptions, let me know. I do a lot of identification work .
