I was just looking back at an observation I took a month ago and realized my camera metadata was set a year behind. Now all of my observations from this year are showing as 2025 on whatever date/time they were taken. Is there a way to batch‑change all of these to the correct year, or would I have to edit them individually (which I definitely don’t have time for, haha)? If not, I could just add a note on my bio explaining it.
You can’t use the batch functionality here to change only the year:
|What ever date/time is entered in that space will be added all observations in the batch.
But you can pretty quickly import a batch of like 100 observations and paste 2026 instead of 2025 for each observation in this section:
Try it with maybe 5 observations and see how it goes.
How to access that menu? Does it work on observations already added?
Ah, sounds like you’re not famliar with the batch edit tool at all? Sorry, I assumed you were. See https://help.inaturalist.org/en/support/solutions/articles/151000195590
Thanks Tony!
Did it work?
Yes, and corrected my camera to this year. :)
