Can I post my observation if it has a bit of my blood in it?

Hi everyone!

I recently posted an observation on my account that displayed two leeches on my foot. Additionally, there is a thin layer of light colored blood on some of my foot near the leeches. I’ve read the TOS and I couldn’t get a definitive answer on weather or not this is fair game.

The observation is posted on my account under the name ‘spiderthumbs’ if you wish to see for yourself, as I’m not sure if I’m allowed to put it here.

Why not? There are photos of roadkill that look much worse…

Welcome to the forum!

I guess the only way that your blood would be a problem is if it obscures features that are necessary for ID.

The shed blood shows that you were really committed to obtaining this observation.

It’s fine.

If you want, add it to the Human Hosts project – plenty of grim photos in there…

I mean, I’ve posted photos of fully rotten dead racoons before. A little bit of blood is fine.

Can’t be any worse than the decapitated sea otter I posted a couple weeks ago.
