Cannot upload photos taken with a nikon and imported to Android device via SnapBridge

Description of problem:

Step 1: fails to upload photos. Photos originally taken with nikon camera and transferred to phone via snapbridge. Thumbnails show up as grey blanks. Photos must instead be uploaded via browser, which is time-consuming and inefficient

I was able to set up SnapBridge on my Android. I imported images from my Nikon Z8 as 2mb jpegs. When either trying to share from SnapBridge or my phone’s Files app, or when starting in iNat and trying to import the Nikon photos, I’m able to save the observation but it won’t sync. The sync keeps stuttering. I filed a bug report.
