Change Identify Modal mini-map display for large accuracies

Ah, yes, I usually filter by state or county, so requiring learning information like that from the map is generally extraneous. I would think adding the Standard Place levels 1 and maybe 2 next to the level 0 (United States in this case) would fulfill that need.

@charlie good luck with your new teeth

yikes, I didn’t even realize cats teethed. Given how sharp their teeth are that sounds painful for them.

If I’m not mistaken shouldn’t this thread be marked as implemented?

Location accuracy not recorded is still poorly displayed. I have to open the Identify popup to a new tab - to see ‘Location Accuracy Not Recorded’. As it is, I get a deceptive map, well zoomed in because that is how I find it most useful generally.

This was seen between the houses. But the picture is clearly on the seashore. Ah - location accuracy not recorded. Copypasta comment. Cannot use DQA for Location Inaccurate. Identify popup does not SAY - Location accuracy not recorded - there is simply no info.

I have a whole string of those obs https://www.inaturalist.org/comments?utf8=✓&mine=true&q=not+recorded&commit=Search

If there’s no location accuracy, the “Acc” line just doesn’t show up on Identify. So if you don’t see a listing for it, it’s not there. Shouldn’t be necessary to open up the observation in a new tab.

But I suspect new or hurried identifiers don’t always realise - what you see on the map - is not based in fact.

No, it looks like the same issue persists:

you have lock zoom level ticked in that first picture, that might be why

just tried your link, it does seem to be an issue the larger the accuracy is
