# Changes to default common names

Is there a way to find out who recently changed a default common name? A recent change is causing lots of confusion around here, and I would love to discuss it with whoever made the change, rather than just changing it back. I don’t see where to find this info, though. I can see who has made taxonomic changes, but not common name defaults. Am I missing something?

When you edit the name, you can see who last updated the name (which should include when they change defaults/re-order names) at the bottom of the page.

I do see it now - I just have to select “edit” next to the name, and scroll down far enough. Thanks so much!
