Content column in flags list

I noticed unexpected effects in the “Content” column in the flags list here: https://www.inaturalist.org/flags.

  • Taxon names: my display preference is set to my location, so I see common taxon names that are associated with my location nearly everywhere on the site. However in the flags page Content column, I see the most prioritized global name. This also occurs in the Flags preview on the RHS of https://www.inaturalist.org/home.
  • Comments: in a situation where a flagged comment is edited after being flagged, the body of the flag still displays the comment as flagged. The flags page Content column on the other hand shows the edited comment.

This seems to occur with and without the new mobile preview.

I’ve noticed this too. My display preference is set to have the scientific name shown first, but this isn’t the case on the flag page.

Right, I suppose that’s another difference that hadn’t even really registered. I also have name display set to “scientific (common),” and the flag preview as well as the contents column show “common (scientific).” Thanks for pointing that out.
