I would like to view all the observations within a single forest. When I type the forest name into the search box I can only see observations for a small area on a nearby street. Is it possible to create a customized boundary on the map.
You can use “search on the map” button.
What you describe is lack of place for your forest, if you need it for more than one search, you’d like to create a place for it.
How do I create a place for the location?
You click on More in the website header, choose Places and there’s a button to create one.

Be aware that once you create the new place, there will be up to a 24 hour delay (usually much less) for the background re-indexing of observations to include the new place…
