Browser, if a website issue (Firefox, Chrome, etc) : Firefox
Description of problem (please provide a set of steps we can use to replicate the issue, and make as many as you need.):
Step 1: I used “Identify” at the top of the page and set up appropriate filters to get what I want to work on.
Step 2: If I don’t identify the observation but don’t want to see it again, I click “Reviewed.”
Result? Often everything is fine. Sometimes, though, my one click produces check marks in both “Reviewed” and “Captive/Cultivated.” Usually I notice this and unclick "Captive/Cultivated, but I can’t be sure I always notice and anyway, this is a waste of time.
In my opinion, it would be helpful if the “Captive/Cultivated” button were a little smaller, specifically, cut a little closer on the right side.
This doesn’t fix the issue, but “R” is the keyboard shortcut for reviewed in Identify, and then you don’t have to click. I find it faster than clicking (and more accurate) in my own usage, so figured I would suggest.
I don’t think this is a bug unless you’re seeing something weird in the formatting. What does this space look like? Here’s what I see using Firefox on my laptop:
Can you please share a screenshot of what you’re seeing? Are you using a mobile device like an iPad or smartphone, or are you using a laptop or desktop computer?
Marking an observation captive/cultivated automatically marks it as reviewed as well. So perhaps you’re clicking Captive/Cultivated by accident?
I’d recommend learning the keyboard shortcuts for the Identify page, it’s really designed for use with those - identifying should be much quicker when you get those down.
It looks like your first photo. The problem is just that sometimes when I click on the far left of the “Reviewed” button, both “Reviewed” and “Captive / Cultivated” turn blue. It’s not a big deal. However, I’m not as precise as I used to be with moving the mouse around, so this happens two or three times a day, if I’m doing a lot of ID’s.
It sounds like they’re gonna improve this, which is great! But just as an extra note, you can click anywhere on the word “Reviewed” and it will check/uncheck the box, you don’t have to actually click the box itself. That should help with precision :)
I know I can click anywhere on “Reviewed” but my hand doesn’t always take the courser to the place my mind thinks it should go. I’d rather there were a gap between these buttons.
