731 vs 653 showing my observations in a given geographic area. Can anyone explain why this is occurring? It doesn’t seem to be related to verifiable/casual or subspecies being counted
“species” has two meanings depending on where it is used on the interface.
It can mean distinct leaf taxa or it can mean distinct taxa ID’d to species level.
In the Explore interface, it uses the first meaning in the header bar, but the second meaning on the leaderboard count.
