# Display hiking trails

Hello, I hope I am on the right session.

I wanted to know if it was possible to display the hiking trails on the map.

If you mean show on map, that is not possible outside of what Google maps show.

Have you toggled your map to satellite view. Zoomed in I can follow my hiking trails.  
Best improvement iNat has made since I have been here!

not sure what your use case is exactly, but you can always make your own custom map that incorporates iNaturalist observations and whatever basemap(s) you choose. for example, here’s a web map created with Leaflet, showing observation pins on top of a USGS topo map and a custom trail map: [https://jumear.github.io/tapas/hanc\_map\_inat.html](https://jumear.github.io/tapas/hanc_map_inat.html)
