Do you see an eerily human face on this linnet or is it just me?

I swear I did not “photoshop“ it, just fixed levels/noise/sharpening a little.

A stern expression too. What did you say to him? (But, the ‘mouth’ below the ‘nose’ ;~)

I do. Once I have seen it like this its hard to imagine it as a bird…

I also see a fluffy puppy head on its back…

Hope someone else does too

I’m seeing a Yellow-crowned Night Heron on the tail! The dark patch on the bird’s right side is the eye and the tail is the bill.

I think I see it! Although, it looks more like a goat or sheep to me.

Brings to mind Buzz Lightyear if he too his helmet off.

Are you sure it’s not a fairy?

Yes and it is kind of creepy!

Obviously a bioengineered human-avian hybrid. We need a new iNat taxon created for that.

I see the beaky-nosed human face with the stern look, the fluffy puppy with the happy eyes, floppy ears, button nose, and smile, and the bird (though the beak looks sideways and with whom I’m not familiar, but will look up). This is quite an animal!

Just more evidence that bird’s aren’t real.

That is an Alan, a male Harpy.

Not an accepted taxa, unfortunately.

I think isopodguy meant this fluffiness on the back that I see as a puppy…

Ooh, now there’s a frightening thought. The Neighbors of both the Seelie and Unseelie Courts strongly dislike being spied upon, and some of them have rather …negotiable …definitions of that act.

If I were @marassa, I’d start carrying a horseshoe nail in my pocket. Just as a precaution.

Yes! That’s what I meant.

I don’t see what you’re talking about at all. All I see is a linnet.
