Dry Leaf, butterfly pupa or alien, I don´t know what it is, but what ever it is... is moving... sort of

Hello, Inatforum, saludos from Colombia here.

I want to talk to you about… something… I don´t know what it is, but it has intrigued my family today.

Look at this picture, was taken on June 2:
Butterflies and Moths (Order Lepidoptera) from Manaure, Cesar, Colombia on June 2, 2025 at 01:12 PM by Norma. No sabemos que es. Pero por la forma en que se pega a la rama parece la pupa de una mariposa. · iNaturalist

Hanging outside for breakfast, we saw this stick/dry leaf hang out of a leaf in our plant, and simply assumed it was a butterfly for the way it was hanging… that mimics sticks/dryleaf. We left it there.

A week or so later “it moved” to a lower leaf, we did notice the change but werent so sure of it, simply assumed it must have been a confusion on our part, and assumed it simply “fell down” or we changed the angle of the plant, or something. It did seem odd to us and we did mention it to each other, but didnt take a picture because “we must be mistaken”.

WELLLLLLLL…

Today, again at breakfast… “it moved again” (was in a different location). And this time, we are pretty sure the plant is in the same exact spot, and the odd thing is… is on the other side of the plant.

And just analize both observations, and look at both… see any differences?

The “thing” is hanging much more closer to the leaf now, than it was in the first picture. (btw is a different leaf than it was from the first picture)

And the part that attaches itself to the leaf, is much wider. from my eyes, looks kinda sticky. like spider’s web.

Now my question is, is this a dry leaf with swapping superpowers?
Is this a butterfly pupa that can somehow relocate?
Is there something like a spider or anything changing the location of this thing?
Is it… ALIENS?

The plant is an argentinian farolito chino i got from a store.

help.

Ps: I have noticed the location change, I havent seen it move.

I have had several on my house. The first time I saw one partially emerge it was a surprise!
