Explore Page "My Location" Radius

Hello! Hopefully this hasn’t been answered before - I searched around and didn’t see it. I’m wondering the size of the area that iNaturalist looks at when you have the Explore page set to “my location”.

If you zoom out on the map it looks like this, which looks about like the dimensions of the obscuring rectangle. That’s 0.2 degrees to a side (22 km x 22 km at the equator). So I guess the biggest the radius could be might be 0.1 degree?

Ohhhhh okay! I totally missed that you can switch to map view on a phone. Nice job me. Thank you so much for the response.

It takes more resources to load the map, which is why it’s not the default view when you go to Explore.
