# Filter by annotations?

… how?
The iconic mediterranean bivalve_Pinna nobilis_ got hit by a plague a few years ago, almost leading to its extinction. Now, in a few places it is coming back respcetively it survived, as we see from iNat obs. So I wanted to check the overall situation: went through the recent observations, entered the missing annotations for “alive or dead”, and then I wanted to filter for living specimens after the plague to get an overview on the map.
Is there really no possibility for filtering observations by annotations?
Or am I just too stupid to see it?

You can also go to the More Filters section of Identify and filter them there, then remove `/identify` from the URL for it to display on the Explore page.

## Annotations
`term_id=` - the annotation group, for example "Life Stage" = 1
`term_value_id=` - the value within the group, for example "Adult" = 2 for the Life Stage annotation

- Sex = 9

- Male = 11
- Cannot Be Determined = 20
- Flowers and Fruits = 12
- Flower Buds = 15
- Flowers = 13
- Fruits or Seeds = 14
- No Flowers or Fruits = 21
- Leaves = 36
- Breaking Leaf Buds = 37
- Green Leaves = 38
- Colored Leaves = 39
- No Live Leaves = 40
- Alive or Dead = 17
- Alive = 18
