Filtering observations by description or tags only?

Maybe this is a super niche issue, but I’d imagine some others have run into this problem as well. I created the “Observations With The Moon” project. One of the ways I search for observations to add is by using the Description/Tags filter in Explore and typing in “moon”, in hopes that the observer notes that the moon appears in the observation like “crows flying in front of the moon”. Ideally, this would just give me observations that include the word “moon” in the description or tags section of an observation. It does that, but on top of that, it also gives me:

  • All observations of any species that have the word “moon” in its name, or in its species description page (from Wiki), i.e., all Moon Carrot observations are shown in the search results. And all Jimsonweed observations appear in the search results too because it has the word “moon” in the description page.

  • All observations that have the word “moon” in the location name, i.e., “Half Moon Bay”.

I’ve tried getting around this by excluding certain species in the Explore filters. But there are way too many species to exclude, and even then, I still get all observations from places like “Half Moon Bay,” “Moon Township,” etc. On top of that, excluding species also hides any legitimate observations of those species that happen to mention “moon” in their description, which are exactly the kind I want to find.

I guess what I am wondering, Is there a way to filter or search for observations based only a keyword appearing in the description or tags field without it also pulling in matches from species names, common names, Wikipedia descriptions, or location names? I’d imagine other people running keyword specific projects would benefit from a cleaner search like this too.

As noted in the search guide, you want to use &search_on=tags and &search_on=description to limit to tags and descriptions respectively.
