Fun beach finds! (Share yours too!)

Lots of fun finds in Port Aransas yesterday! I don’t know what the little worm/slug thing is but I was thrilled to find a couple lightning whelk egg coils  not pictured but also spotted this weekend - a tiny brittle star, a shark (species unknown), dolphins, sea turtles, sand fleas, hermit crabs, and so many sand dollars!

Did anyone else find anything new or fun at the beach this week?

I thought the pattern this seaweed left on the rock was super cool! And seeing river otter spraint was awesome!

Here are a couple of fun beach finds from NE Florida. Sea Pansy and Spotted Porcelain Crab

A Pseudobourletiella spinata found in the side of a river. I’m hoping I can come back to the place soon, a very beautiful place to search for springtails.

Habitat:

Unfortunately, most areas were covered head-to-toe in trash that washed up from the river.

Neat! Was it knocked off the wood? These are still in my springtail bucket list. :slightly_smiling_face:

Well, I didn’t expect this on that Portuguese beach. It was quite an interesting find.

I just panned for them in the sand, but there were some under wood as well. I actually managed to find this Isotomurus under some wood nearby!
