Higher Volume of Reindexing Issues

Platform: Observations added through Seek and Android (so far). Edit: found an iOS example added in comments with screenshot.

Description of problem:

Step 1: Search Casuals to look for observations that could be wild, but need something fixed.

Step 2: Notice higher than usual number of observations with no reason for being casual that resolve when adding a new ID.

Step 3: Start checking for how they were added and notice most are from Seek.

I’m used to finding an occasional observation that needs reindexing. Today, I’m finding about 1-2 per page of casuals.

Can you message me links to some more that you find? Please don’t add an ID to them or anything else. I’d like to see what they look like before any intervention.

Thanks for sending me some exmaples.

FWIW I made a few observations via Seek yesterday and they were both Needs ID.

So there were some database issues beginning around June 16th that we think may have caused these. We released a potential fix last week and today are reindexing observations made during the time the issue was around. Around 0.1% of observations seem to have been affected. Very impressive you noticed, thanks for reporting it!
