Homepage in other languages does not show newsitems

Description of problem

Step 1: Choose a language not English.

Step 2: Go to https://www.inaturalist.org/home

Step 3: Switch to English and in the right column two news items appear, a job proposal and a phenology webinar.

It has been mentioned earlier in the forum that all languages except two do not show the news issues. Blog posts are also not shown here for all languages except English, see second screenshot.
Is this on purpose, it is a bug, should this be a feature request?

This seems to be fixed. After several weeks of not seeing any blog entries, I see the announcement about taxon pictures of larvae. I have the interface set to Spanish.

I still miss these, also when selected spanish.

This isn’t really a bug, it’s simply how the announcments work. In order for multiple announcements to appear, they need to cover the same locales. Sometimes only English is chosen as the locale for the announcements.

I agree that it’s not ideal and should be improved, but it’s working as designed.
