?How to find cool insects and which time of day and year and where is the best

I find cool insects but in love numbers and I usually couldn’t photograph them either.Is there any way to more effectively find them specially those moths with fuzzy antennas?

Depends on what you are looking for because you can find different insects both during the day and night, your best chances are probably during summer. Where do you live? If you live in europe I could give you advice for specific insects I encountered.

oh sorry I didn’t see this part, when it comes to moths a lot of them hang out near decaying wood, for example this wood leopard moth I encountered last summer

these are also pretty cool, they are called ligurian emperors and I’m pretty sure they are the largest moths in my area, again if you’re european you should start seeing them in late march up until may I think
