UPDATE: my second round of messages got through and this is fixed.
The “Ant Mimics” project has nearly 2000 observations and can be a really great way to explore creatures that are misidentified as ants. I use it as a reference when I encounter something that isn’t an ant in Formicidae.
I didn’t create this project, although I’ve added a few things to it.
When I look at the collection of observations however, there are a bunch of plants that I think have been added by mistake. I’ve tried messaging the user and leaving a few comments, but I don’t think the user is active at this time.
Somehow it seems like for these plants every single project this user was a member of was automatically added.
I’m also trying to get in touch with the people who run the project, can they remove observations?
Did this error where every project is added to every observation impact other users? I can’t imagine the user just added them all by hand it would have been a lot of work.
So I wanted to find out if this might be problem for other projects, but also try to find a way to get the plants removed. They are not ant-mimics.
