I found a caterpillar from an undocumented moth species

I found an undocumented caterpillar in the Dicentria genus . I’d like to raise the caterpillar to moth. I know that lots of people do this but I want to do it well. What tips can you share with me? Also, what should I document and how should I take pictures?

I think the important point will be: collecting some adult moth and getting them abroad (e.g. into a museum collection).

There are a fair amount of posts on the forum about caterpillar rearing. Many focus on how to make good iNat observations (e.g., a captive observation of the adult linked to a wild observation of the caterpillar), but some also have some tips on rearing. Examples:
