**Platform** : Web, on MacOS **App version number** , if a mobile app issue: **Browser** , if a website issue: Chrome **URLs (aka web addresses) of any relevant observations or pages**: **Screenshots of what you are seeing** : ![Screenshot 2025-09-08 at 17.15.36](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/flex016/uploads/inaturalist/original/3X/5/4/54c0be02ff9297f47eba32d4b840b04f6521387e.jpeg) **Description of problem** : On Identify page, if ‘Projects’ dropdown is also open, at times (not always) it becomes impossible to scroll in the next dropdown which is the ‘Observation Fields’ to be able to select a oft-used field. This issue shows up intermittently but not infrequently, and is pronounced when there are several projects under an observation. The only workaround is to either close the Projects dropdown, or to search for the field within the Observation Field tab. Step 1: Open Identify Page Step 2: Open the Projects dropdown Step 3: Try to select one of the Observation Fields that you use frequently. At times, the ability to scroll within the fields disappears. Apologies if this has been reported/logged already; I searched but couldn’t find a bug report. ---

Hi! It’s happening to me too. PS: I have already annotated the observation later. I agree we should be able to see all of them if possible, but you can always start typing in the name of a field to find it. Are you trying that as well? ---

Hey Tony, thanks. Typing/searching for a field works, yes, and that’s the workaround when all don’t show (as is closing the Projects dropdown). I’m only talking about the few that I use constantly, and then searching for them slows down the workflow. I wanted to report the inconsistency, as at times, it works as expected.
