Identifying plants in insect/plant interactions when insect is already ID'ed

Does anyone have suggestions for how to move forward on plant identification (getting the Suggested ID to focus on a plant in a picture) when there is an already-identified insect in the photo? I am trying to tag a bunch of plant-insect interactions of a specific species of insect in a certain geographical range. My plant ID is ok, but having some of the AI powered identification would help. As an example: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/346360855

the insect is already identified and the suggested ID is not providing any suggestions for the plant. I realize I could download the picture/crop it and try other id tools, but is there an easier option?

Maybe this extension would help?

Thanks - I’ll give this a try. I’m trying the google lens ID - which will allow cropping within the image without having to download anything - but the algorithm is not as good as iNat’s

You can click on “Compare” then change the source to “Visually similar” and the taxon to “flowering plants” or something along those lines.

Compare and CV is quicker than Enhancement and crop. I must remember that.

And enhancement and crop as so very useful as it is, doesn’t take location into account while compare and cv does. Sometimes that can matter.

this is what I do (usually when the CV gets hung up on the wrong area of a genus) - works like a charm!
