Store images in the Seek app

I just got the Seek app, love it. One suggestion. For me, I’d love to have it so when you enter in an new observation the image gets stored as a thumbnail (for space) to a directory local to the app. This would be so there is still an image in the app and they will not show up with my regular images which I delete often. Then when that observeration is deleted the local image goes away as well.

Thanks for your time,

Rob

I should not agree cause it will take extra space on internal memory on my phone, but I am not a Seek-user…

This is something that we’re working on.

I would like to second this. Especially if you’ve uploaded the photo to iNaturalist, there should be a way to load a thumbnail, at very least, of your observation from the iNaturalist website.

i agree… if it needs extra space it is evil

I’d rather it use extra space than have image blanks when I delete the photo from my device. I think it should be able to pull from a user’s own uploads onto iNaturalist, but if that can’t be done then I’d rather the photo be stored in the app than the way it is now.
