I often find, that borders of countries are inaccurately demarked, which results in observations being wrongly asorted into projects, which rely on those borders. Is there a way to edit those borders so that they would reflect the precise shape of the countries? I encountered this issue mainly with regards to Czech and Slovak borders, but I’m sure that this problem exists elsewhere too.

Without more information, it isn’t possible to be sure exactly what you are describing. However, there is a known issue where country borders are imprecise due to known limitations of the system. See here:
