Android photo gallery, long press several pictures to select them, then touch the share icon and select the iNaturalist app from the options that pop up. All default apps, no third party gallery.
Today it didn’t double the photos, the phone may have rebooted since last time this happened.
The doubling, when it happens, happens after selecting a taxon. Import as described above (say, 2 photos) → touch “what did you see”, make some selection there → now there are 2x2 photos.
Thanks. I tried to replicate this a bunch of times on my Pixel 8 yesterday, both with the current release and the beta version, and could not replicate it. I did create a bug report, though.
Yes, If I crop a photo, and and add to upload and move it to correct location, it about half of the time will duplicate, which is very annoying. I have to delete the duplicate over and over and over.
@bouteloua Ok, others were talking about the website on here too, so I was sharing my bugs as well. Do you know if there is an existing bug for the website duplicating photos? If not, I can make a new bug report
First after selecting a project from the list of my joined projects. Then I deleted the duplicated pictures, and went on to select a taxon. After that the pictures were doubled again, and I had to delete the duplicates a second time.
