Just got to 1000 species (in about 15 months on iNat) Yeah!!!
On to the next 1000! “Gotta catch 'em all!”
I have identified 20% of the total 60K research grade P. tremuloides. There are 8800ish left, right now. I’m hoping to drop that by half, plus the yearly summer observations!
25% of the 17k P. grandidentata. Just under 4k Left, hope to finish that this year!
I’ve been busy with work, but since this post my pool has been lowered to 6700±. P. grandidentata is <3k!
Another little bit is that I started playing with a method for annotating quickly, and was able to hit 1400!
Thanks to @DianaStuder , I’m now at 4400!
10,000 annotations!! I’ve been waiting for this milestone for a long time.

I just finished the last of my all-yearly-goals (1k observations of at least 500 species and 40k IDs)… I am happy that almost 200 of those species where iNat lifers for me as well
I guess it’s now time for me to retire for this year..see you in 2027

Your post inspired me to check. I’m way behind on IDs this year at 7,880. My excuse is more time spent on taxonomy.
The name is interchangeable
The funny thing is, when I refer to the country in German, I will always say Tschechien instead of Tschechische Republik.. but in English the long version feels more correct to me.. I don’t know why 
Is it an iNat milestone when you publish your first paper using iNaturalist data? That was my big win last week. Still haven’t gotten through my photo backlog though…
