There is a resources page with slide shows that can be remixed (Resources for sharing about iNaturalist · iNaturalist) and I just exported (change type to .png) the slide from powerpoint. Good luck with your event!

As it happens, I’ve gone instead with a photo of my own from the event location, though I suppose the fact that it’s so local may not be obvious unless I overlay some explanatory text on the image.

On another note, I’m wondering if it would seem intrusive to search for iNat members in the metro region who have posted a certain number of photos of a target taxon, in this case small invertebrates, and send them direct message inviting them to the event.

This takes place on the Sonoma Coast, north of San Francisco, California at Pomo Canyon Environmental Campground & Day-Use just off Hwy 1 near the Russian River. We will be participating in the Cal Academy of Sciences project “2026 Snapshot Cal Coast.” For details and registration please follow the link below. I’m thrilled to be invited to become an Ambassador - was a lovely surprise when I got the email. Form has been filled in, hopefully I’ll be accepted. I live in the Dandenong Ranges, Victoria, Australia. I know my local Shire participates in the Biodiversity Challenge every year and I’m always a part of that. And I love sharing with others how iNaturalist can help them learn things about nature.

G’day all.
I am based in south coast New South Wales, Australia.
I recently graduated with an MS in Entomology from Nebraska-Lincoln Uni. I have couple of prior degrees from way back in the last millennium; the Ento degree was a retirement project and a return to something I have had a passion for since childhood.
I regularly do two or three seminar/presentaions per year about insects to local community groups. iNaturalist always features centrally in those talks. A couple of such events that have been scheduled this year include a presentation to the Camera Clubs of NSW about how to (and why) photograph insects and another to a Botanic Gardens association about Dipteran pollinators.
I am looking forward to participating as an Ambassador. Thank you to the organisers and thank you @orenda3 for setting up this thread.
