Now that’s some funny way to present an error message (Web browser: Firefox).
It showed up after I had a tab open for several days and then trying to write a comment
(luckily I was expecting problems and had the text saved, because after the error message the text was gone - which might be posted as a separate bug report or feature request)
(I stitched together the error message from separate screen shots)
The message at the top reads:
Failed to save. Please try again later

I got one like this yesterday that spelled out “not found.” Weird…

I also got a similar message like that yesterday while trying to fave a observation.

I believe this was a bug fixed yesterday: https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/checking-no-its-good-as-it-can-be-fails-to-save-record/32001/8 (If you had refreshed the page, I suspect you would not have received the error.)

I thought this report was for the way the error was formatted, not the error itself?
Are you seeing a similarly formatted error message today?
I’ve not seen any errors recently, so no.

I just saw it.
I tried to add this observation to various projects:

The error message formatting issue (or improvement , maybe? ) is a separate bug from the failing to save bug. Working on a fix.

Based on the topic title, I thought the same thing.
The other topic that Cassi linked seems to be for the failed to save error.

Interestingly, it added the observation to the projects despite the error.
Wen I tried to add an Identification to this other observation , however, I got the same error but it didn’t save my ID.
In both cases, the message is
Failed to save record. Please try again later.
