Is it allowed to add a transcription of common name near local script

I’m trying to add an English transcription side of the Santali language local name in bracket so that those who don’t know to read the name by script can easily read it like ex. ᱩᱞ (ul) , ᱥᱚᱢᱚᱨ ᱡᱟᱲᱟ (samar jada) , ᱢᱟᱛᱠᱚᱢ (matkom). Is it allowed to add like this in iNaturalist or only it should be contributed in that language script (Ol Chiki) which is officially used.

You should only add actually used names, if transcribed version is used too, you can add it as a second name.

Thanks @fffffffff for the quick reply, means i should create a separate name section for the same name transcripted in different script. I’m contributing common name in Santali language (Ol Chiki script).

Yes, you can add as many common names as there’re for one taxon, so if one name is used with different alphabet used, you can add it as a separate name!
