A neighbor caught a video on his ring camera of 2 crows chasing and Cornering a pigeon under his car and then grabbing it and pulling it out from under and killing it. I’m freaked out to be honest, I didn’t know crows did this? Or is this concerning behavior.
What country is this in? There are different types of crows in a lot of places around the world
It’s a normal behaviour.
If you used to live in countryside, you would witness this kind of behaviour once in a while.
They even eat foxes dead bodies
They chase raptors also
There was a starling feeding its fledgling one morning, and a carrion crow grabbed the fledgling and swallowed it whole, head first. I remember its feet sticking out the crow’s mouth (England).
Yes, it seems to be normal behaviour in England at least with the common carrion crow. Two years ago they killed two of three magpie chicks in our garden and I raised the surviving one. A month ago I was in the car and we passed a park where I could see four crows violently fighting. On the journey back I could see two were dead on the ground. It is part of their behaviour to pick off weak or juvenile birds as well as nest-robbing and feeding on carrion. They are always fighting with the magpie clans around here too!
