I drafted this taxon swap but cannot commit due to the following error: “Output taxon rank level not coarser than rank level of active children of input taxon”. I understand the error but not why this type of transfer is not allowed. There is a species in iNaturalist (Aforcerura cameroona) that was recently transferred to be a subspecies of another species in a different genus (Cerurina marshalli –> Cerurina marshalli cameroona) due to the recent realization that the type specimens of “cameroona” were the same as the type specimens of Cerurina marshalli argentata in this publication. So this resulted in the name cameroona, which is older, being synonymized with argentata, therefore becoming a subspecies of C. marshalli. Is there a way to override this error? I already created the taxon Cerurina marshalli cameroona for existing sightings on iNaturalist of that subspecies, but just to clean things up it would be good to either commit this taxon change or delete Afrocerura cameroona as that taxon no longer refers to the right taxon.
A. cameroona has an active child, so that must be swapped/inactivated first, or you need to select Move children to output (if it should also be synonymized).

Good catch! That was it. The active child is a full species in the parent genus so I just made the necessary new taxon and swap to move “thomensis” and then I was able to commit my earlier swap. Thanks a lot!
