# Issue with users automatically agreeing to an identification

This seems to be a perennial topic that comes up [again](https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/agree-button-on-identify-thumbnails/1597) and [again](https://forum.inaturalist.org/t/track-and-mark-identifications-made-through-agree-buttons/243) and [again](https://groups.google.com/forum/#!msg/inaturalist/xgx2tErzBqo/AdUW3DLLEgAJ). @bouteloua had a nice poll in that first link, where she also said that the “agree” button on the ID modal is likely to stay due to staff preference.
