Description of problem (please provide a set of steps we can use to replicate the issue, and make as many as you need.):

Step 1: I am batch uploading and editing images

Step 2: whole computer crashed without error message

Step 3: I cry.

i doubt that you’ve supplied enough information here for anyone to actually help you figure out what’s going on.

if your laptop is still running Windows 10 (a previous generation OS), then i would assume that it’s just underpowered, and i would suggest that you try to load fewer observations per batch.

back when i was using a machine that had only 4GB of RAM, i tried to limit uploads to 30 observations.

Without specific details it’s difficult to diagnose, as @pisum said. “A bunch” could mean just about anything. I agree that you’re likely overpowering your computer, the upload page can use up a lot of of RAM if there are a bunch of photos there. I personally generally don’t add more than 20 images at a time, although that’s mostly because I find it more manageable to deal with a smaller number.
