Link previews no longer being generated on whatsapp

For the last month or so I have noticed that inaturalist links I paste in whatsapp no longer generate link previews - neither on the phone nor on the windows app. I’ve tried to troubleshoot by ensuring that “Disable link previews” is set to off but this doesn’t resolve the problem. Moreover, link previews are still being generated by whatsapp for other sites. When I’ve checked with the local iNat community several members seem to facing the same issue.

Indeed, it’s the same issue, but WhatsApp is behaving a bit differently.

Could you try again?

If it’s still not working (in a few hours, with a different URL, to avoid caching issue), please share the exact URL you were sharing.

Oh wow, even on Discord it stopped working. I do like it, though. I always had to manually remove the preview…

Last time it worked for me was 21st of march apperently. (tried some random links)
