# Map zooms out to world view when toggling between exploring species & observations

**Description of problem** : When Exploring Observation in Map, If I move to “Species”, “Observer” or “Identifier” mode, then return to “Observations” - the map view default to maximum zoom out. Then need to manually attempt to zoom back into original view

Step 1: Go to explore, select map area to explore & click “redo search in this area” → Observation pins show on map

Step 2: Click on Binocular symbol / ## Observations, select “explore Species” view –\> list of species shows.

Step 3: Click on Leaf symbol / ## Species, select “explore observation” view –\> map shows entire world and no observation pins, instead of same map view as step 1.
