Most annoying organism/insect/plant/fungi/other

To me it's the elm seed bug. Last year one of the rooms were infested with them. Then another room. Then another. They're almost impossible to get rid of without the smell, which its smell is worse than a public bathroom or a stinkbug. Now there are corpses of it lying around in corners.

Molds that come to munch on my foods are pretty high up on that list for me. Accidentially touch a block of cheese or the inside of its wrapper, or accidentially touch bread from somewhere you’re not going to eat right now, and Whoomp! There it is.

Tree of Heaven (Ailanthus altissima)…

Super invasive where I live, and a huge pain to get rid of! This one is growing between our fence and the side of a business, its begun growing under the fence and in our yard! Its pretty, but Its so annoying!

Another big one is Fungus gnats… I have a ton of house plants so my house has them, and will probably have them forever now. For some reason they love to fly right in my face while im in bed. I always slap them out of the air. At least it gives the house spiders a stable food source, they help with the population a lot.

humans are pretty annoying. I love us as a species, although we tend to bring destruction and death with us wherever we go.

I have nothing but disdain for Collybiopsis peronata. It is an invasive fungus that was introduced to the PNW. It is not edible, it is not exactly poisonous, it is not pretty, it is not interesting in the slightest except for the fact it’s non-native. And it grows on whatever leafy, woody debris it can find, sometimes fruiting in these huge troops with over 15+ fruiting bodies.

Also host to the Spotted Lanternfly, also invasive in the US.

For me it has to be flys of any variety. I’ve had them fly behind my safety glasses, up my nose, into my face, land in my paint jobs…

Hey thanks! Those are plentiful around where I live (in Finland, so not invasive). Now I know what they are.

Tiger mosquitoes (Aedes albopictus) because they feed in the day, when I’m trying to DO stuff.

When I take a walk, there are a ton of tiny flies that hover in front of my face. Very annoying.
