I am new to creating projects. The location for this new project (Alice Austen House Pollinator Project) is Alice Austen House, Staten Island, NY. It exists on Google Maps, and so does next-door Alice Austen Park. I have seen similar discussions here but I still don’t understand how to solve this problem. I have drawn an outline of the space on Google Maps, exported it as KML but keep getting error messages saying latitude and longitude are missing and that there is no polygon. The process is not user friendly.
when you drew the outline, you drew it as a single continuous line that you then closed off to form a single closed polygon?
I probably stopped a few times while drawing the line. I used the Google Maps Draw a Line feature.
I see a tinyyy line break at the top of the shape, just under the H of Hylan Road
