Observation Gaps Pilot: expanding/adjusting search area?

I’ve opted into the observation gaps pilot that has recently popped up on the right side of my home page. It shows “nearby” species that are very seldom observed and not part of the CV model. Since opting in, I’ve seen the list change a lot as I upload. It doesn’t say exactly what counts as “nearby” and I wonder if it is only making this list from a very small area near me, considering it changes so much. Is there a way to manually adjust the range or search this in a different way so you can see the species on the list for a specified location of your choosing? (for example - could someone adjust this to show all species on the list for a certain state/province/country instead of just an (assumedly) small radius near my last known observation?

Thanks!

The rest of us must wait patiently till you sort out the teething problems for us. Was mentioned somewhere in a comment, but I cannot find it.

The blog post says that the observations included will be from within 50 km of your last observation. Are you submitting observations from widely different locations each day?

OK, thanks, its nice to know what the radius was for the list! I live in a rural area where there are long distances between cities/towns and points of interest. Not daily, but I am often in places further than 50km from eachother, yes.
