Step 2: Annotations section does not have the option for Flowers or Fruits, just Leaves and Sex. Flowers and Fruits is also not an option for any Conifer charts. Step 3: ---

I figured there had to be a technical reason for that. I know lots of people are tracking frugivory for migratory birds, and the Juniper berries I saw this week in New Mexico seemed like a really important one to annotate. ---

Conifer cones are not considered flowers, fruits, or seeds by iNaturalist. ---

it would be interesting if they generalized flowering / fruiting into something like “reproductive phase”, with subcategories of flowering, fruiting, cone development, sporophyte, gametophyte, etc… could be a feature request? ---

It would be nice to have some kind of annotation for conifers. Feeling pretty embarrassed about reporting a bug for it. ---

Junipers and other conifers do not produce flowers or berries, but they do produce seeds, and that should be annotatable. So should cones. ---
